ASM International N.V. Reports Progress on Share Buy Back Program



ALMERE, The Netherlands - November 21, 2012 - ASM International N.V. (NASDAQ: ASMI and Euronext Exchange in Amsterdam: ASM) today announces that further to the share buy-back program announced on March 6, 2012, that during the period from November 14, 2012 until November 19, 2012, ASMI purchased 1,000,000 of its shares at an average price of EUR 27.15 per share. The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 1,500,000 common shares for a total consideration of EUR 40.6 million.

ASM International announced on March 6, 2012, that it will repurchase up to 2 million common shares.
