Leiden, The Netherlands, 8 July 2002 - Dutch antibody and vaccine company Crucell N.V. (NASDAQ, Euronext CRXL) emphasises, contrary to interpretations that could be drawn from recent Dow Jones coverage, that it has not changed its profit outlook.
Crucell reiterates earlier outlook statements as announced in February 2002 with the publication of the 2001 results.
The company is expected to reach profitability once products are brought to market by licensees using its technology.
An exact date is not provided, since launching a product depends on several factors, among which are progress of clinical trials and FDA approval.
Crucell will publish its Q2 results on Monday July 15, 2002.
