CCB 4tel solution receives international praise second year running

For the second year in a row, Telenor has been announced as the recipient of the IIR World Billing Award 2000 for Best Billing Implementation. EDB 4tel, the telecom software branch of EDB Business Partner is the vendor and system integrator of the solution.

The winners of this year's billing awards were officially announced at Billing Systems 2000 in London, one of the world's largest billing products and services trade shows and conferences. This is the fourth year that the Awards have been presented. Members of the CCB Distribution List and attendees at IIR’s CCB events are the only people who have been able to nominate candidates for the World Billing Awards. The jury praised Telenor's implementation of their Customer Care and Billing solution targeting the residential market.

Telenor started the implementation of its new billing system in 1996. The CCB 4tel solution has given numerous benefits for the telco's business operations, including shorter time to market for new products, easier introduction and management of price plans and discount programs, shorter and simplified order handling in customer service, reduced training requirements in customer service and more informative invoices to the customers.
