EDB 4tel, the telecom software branch of EDB Business Partner ASA (OSE: EDB) today announced that the company has signed a contract with Swisscom AG, the leading Swiss telecom operator, regarding the implementation of the CCB 4tel Order Management solution. EDB 4tel will in this first phase provide advanced order management capabilities for the Swiss telecom operator. Both EDB 4tel and Swisscom see this as the start of a long and mutually beneficial relationship.
This initial 3.5 million euro contract includes consulting, systems integration, support and license fees. Implementation of the new order management system will begin immediately and will complete later this year.
CCB 4tel Order Management is a platform-independent product designed to reduce time-to-market for products and services considerably. The solution enables quicker registration of new customers and the creation of unique detailed customer profiles. In addition, it facilitates access to product information, resource allocation and service provisioning, important functionalities required by telecom operators to operate efficiently. Swisscom will take advantage of these functionalities to meet the needs of its expanding customer base in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
