Oslo 25 January 2001. EDB 4tel AS, the Oslo headquartered subsidiary of the Norwegian IT group EDB Business Partner ASA, has today announced the opening of its Madrid Sales Office. This is part of the company's strategy to expand internationally and strengthen its market position. Southern Europe has been identified as a key market for growth.

EDB 4tel has the last years focused on building its international activities. It already has operations in Norway, France, Ireland, and the US. This latest move into the Southern European market is in line with the company's commitment to deliver its leading-edge, modular IT solutions to telecom operators worldwide. Angelo M. Sanchez will together Manuel Ortega, the Sales Director for Spain and Portugal, head EDB 4tel's sales and marketing activities in the region. Mr. Sanchez and Mr. Ortega have together over 50 years of experience in executive management, marketing, sales, consulting, information technology, and telecommunications. Both have previously worked with companies such as Telefonica, Entel, NYNEX, EDS, Telmex of Mexico, Telefonos de Chile, IBM, Telefonica Argentina, Telefonica de Peru and other players in the region.
