EDB 4tel announce its delivery of CCB 4tel Order Manager to Swisscom

Successful implementation of EDB 4tel's order management solution in Swisscom

EDB 4tel, the telecom part of EDB Business Partner ASA, has delivered Swisscom its state-of-the-art Order Manager Solution (OMS) enabling the Swiss operator to increase its service level to its customers.

Order Manager 4tel is part of EDB 4tel's award winning Customer Care and Billing suite for operators and service providers - CCB 4tel. The module allows successful incorporation of advanced customer-oriented functionalities into an existing IT architecture, enabling operators to increase their efficiency in order management, lower operating costs and increase service level to their customers. Order Manager 4tel automates the customer order entry, validation and fulfillment process, providing operators and service providers with a comprehensive overview of all customer order and delivery activities. The product is designed to reduce time-to-market for products and services, and enables quicker registration of new customers and the creation of unique detailed customer profiles. In addition, it facilitates access to product information, resource allocation and service provisioning, important functionalities required by telecom operators to operate efficiently.

One of the key elements in ensuring future success in the telecom industry is to significantly reduce time-to market and time-to-customers for new services. EDB 4tel's modular solutions have been specifically designed with this in mind. Swisscom will now take advantage of these functionalities to meet the needs of its expanding customer base. After a highly successful test installation, Swisscom has now initiated a full implementation of the solution in all its customer service centers.
