IT operating services contract signed with Banverket Trafik of Sweden

EDB Unigrid, a company in the EDB Business Partner group, has in collaboration with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young signed a three-year IT operating services agreement with Banverket Trafik of Sweden. The contract is worth some SEK 18 million for EDB Unigrid.

EDB Unigrid is to provide IT operating services for Banverket Trafik in collaboration with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. EDB Unigrid will be responsible for operating the client's mainframe applications together with the related server environment. This contract represents an extension of the existing collaboration between the parties.
 
The applications in question play a central role in ensuring that Banverket Trafik maintains a high level of train network reliability and is able to offer rail users access to fully-updated timetable information at all times. This requires a high degree of operational reliability and 24/7 availability of the systems involved.

Banverket Trafik is the company in the Banverket group responsible for managing traffic on the entire Swedish rail network. EDB Unigrid is a subsidiary of EDB Teamco, which is the IT operating services company in the EDB Business Partner group.
