| EDB: New five-year contract with SkandiaBanken |
|
(Oslo 03.01.2003) SkandiaBanken has entered into an agreement with EDB Business Partner's wholly owned subsidiary EDB Fellesdata to purchase software and computer operating services for its banking activities. The contract runs for five years and is worth some NOK 80 million.
This new five-year agreement represents a change of systems onto EDB Fellesdata's standard product platform for banking operations. The new banking systems will be integrated with the Internet banking system developed by SkandiaBanken in-house. The existing contract with SkandiaBanken for the supply and operation of banking systems will continue as part of the new agreement. The computer operating services element of the contract will be provided by EDB Teamco.
"The agreement with SkandiaBanken serves to strengthen further the momentum of EDB's development activities. The extensive customer base we now have for standard banking systems puts us in a good position to be a driving force for the further development of applications and services. Moreover this contract confirms that our standard systems meet the needs of banks regardless of differences in their marketing strategies and areas of business emphasis", comments Ole Trasti, Managing Director of EDB Fellesdata.
SkandiaBanken is one of the largest Internet banking operations in Norway, with nearly 200,000 active customers. SkandiaBanken has been a success since it was established in April 2000. In 2002 the bank was selected as the Norwegian company with the most satisfied customers.
