(Oslo 17.01.2003) Gjensidige NOR has decided to enter into negotiations with an other supplier concerning future development of the bank's core systems. If the negotiations are finalised, sales of applications to Gjensidige NOR with an annual value of around NOK 40 million might be discontinued over the course of the next two to three years. In this period EDB will continue to supply Gjensidige NOR's current core systems, and ongoing development projects are continued. Other areas of applications that are used by Gjensidige NOR, are not included in these negotiations.

 

This decision does not affect Gjensidige NOR's existing five-year contract with EDB Business Partner for the provision of computer operating services for banking systems. EDB's objective is to ensure that the stable and reliable operating services that Gjensidige NOR has historically enjoyed will continue to be available for the bank's future IT solutions.
