As part of the recently announced change in EDB Business Partner's corporate strategy to focus on the core business areas of Computer Operating Services, Bank & Finance and Telecommunications, the company has signed an agreement to sell some aspects of its consultancy activities in Bergen to Merkantildata.

 

The sale involves Merkantildata taking over 12 consultants and current assignments with effect from 1 April 2003. The other aspects of the consultancy activities based in Bergen are related to applications services for Bank & Finance and Computer Operating Services, and will be transferred to the relevant business areas of the group.

 

EDB Business Partner will receive NOK 0.9 million for the sale, plus a share of the revenue generated by the transferred consultants over the remainder of 2003.
