(Oslo 02.07.03) Nordea Bank Norge ASA has signed a contract with with EDB Fellesdata, a wholly owned subsidiary of EDB Business Partner, to purchase solutions for its card activities. The agreement is for a three year period, and represents a total contractual value of some NOK 24 million.

 

"Nordea Bank Norway has chosen EDB as a partner for strategic collaboration in the card area. These systems will help the bank to consolidate its card activities and improve their efficiency, and will also pave the way for implementing new domestic and international standards for cards and payments services", comments Per Vorum, Assistant General Manager, Nordea.

 

"Having Nordea as a demanding strategic partner will strengthen EDB's activities in the area of cards and payments services", adds Ole Urdahl, Executive Vice President, Bank & Finance, EDB Business Partner.

 

EDB Fellesdata will develop and deliver the new card processing systems for Nordea, and EDB Teamco will supply the related IT operating services.
