EDB sells EDB Ster Polska

(Oslo 23.12.03) EDB Business Partner has sold its 51% interest in the company EDB Ster Polska SA to Ster-Projekt SA. The price agreed for the shares is NOK 3.4 million, and will not create any accounting gain or loss.

EDB and the Polish IT company Ster-Projekt established a jointly owned company in November 2001 in order to market and deliver solutions for the Polish banking market based on the systems portfolio offered by EDB Bank & Finance and services from Ster-Projekt.

"The sale of our interest in Ster Polska concludes the restructuring we have carried out over the last six months. EDB Bank & Finance no longer aims to own and operate its own companies outside the Nordic countries, but will instead collaborate with strategic partners in particular markets. Ster-Projekt will be our partner for sales of selected EDB products to the Polish market," explains Ole Urdahl, Executive Vice President - Bank & Finance.

EDB sold its Dutch subsidiary EDB MaXware Benelux to Clear2Pay in October 2003. EDB has according to plan now sold all shares in previously owned in companies outside the Nordic countries,
