EDB signs contract renewal in Sweden

(Oslo, 24 June 2004) Green Cargo AB has renewed its contract with EDB Business Partner, representing operating revenue of around NOK 43 million for EDB over the next year. The contract relates to operating services and communications solutions for Green Cargo's activities in Sweden.

- The contract means we are ensuring our revenue even in the Swedish party of the market, says John-Arne Haugerud, EVP IT Operations in EDB.

Green Cargo is a Swedish-based company that develops and supplies primarily railway-based logistics solutions for the Swedish and international markets. The company has 3,500 employees at over 100 locations, and provides end-to-end delivery services for goods distribution.

EDB has operated a two-year contract to provide operating services and communication solutions to Green Cargo. These services have been provided by the wholly-owned Swedish subsidiary EDB IT Operations. The contract includes helpdesk services, printing solutions and applications administration, for which EDB uses Capgemini as a sub-contractor.

Green Cargo and EDB have agreed to extend the contract by one year to 1 July 2005, with the option for a further one-year renewal. The one-year renewal of the contract represents business volume of around NOK 43 million. The parties intend to agree a new longer-term contract to reflect closer and more comprehensive collaboration between the companies.
