EDB to supply operating services for HelseBygg Midt-Norge

(Oslo, 6 July 2004) EDB Business Partner is to supply operating services as part of Telenor's contract with HelseBygg Midt-Norge (the Hospital Development Project for Central Norway). The agreement covers operating services, systems monitoring and standby facilities as well as consultancy services, and is for the trial phase of the project through to 1 June 2006. The contract represents a possible business volume of around NOK 10 million.

The project will move from its trial phase into normal operations on 1 June 2006. Telenor's contract with HelseBygg Midt-Norge includes an option to supply operating services following this transition. The option is for a period of seven years and represents an estimated business volume of around NOK 60 million in the areas of operating services, systems monitoring and standby facilities.

EDB and Telenor will work together during the initial contract period to establish an operation solution that delivers an optimal and competitive service for HelseBygg Midt-Norge. This will provide the basis to convert the operations option to a normal operating services agreement prior to the expiry of the trial phase.

"This contract strengthens EDB's position in the public sector in general and the health care sector in particular. This is an area where we expect to see future growth, and is an important area of focus for EDB", explains John-Arne Haugerud, Executive Vice President  IT Operations in EDB.
