| EDB to deliver NIMS-product to major European operator |

(Oslo, 20 October 2004) A leading European telecom operator has selected EDB to deliver the operator's new network inventory management platform. EDB's Incatel NIMS product will provide the operator with a consolidated inventory and provisioning solution that covers their complete network and services. The contract represents total business volume of around NOK 36 million. Incatel NIMS is a network and service inventory solution for end-to-end provisioning that enables network operators to deliver services faster, more reliable and cost-effecient to their customers. EDB and a major European operator have agreed on the phased delivery of Incatel NIMS.
The contract represents total business volume of around NOK 36 million, to be reported from fourth quarter 2004 and over a period of 12 months.
Incatel NIMS is planned to be implemented in phases. In the first phase, NIMS will be the master inventory solution to handle the operator's broadband services. After this first deployment, NIMS will be used to consolidate progressively all of the operator's Network Inventory legacy systems, covering all aspects of their network.
