Onninen signs new IT operations contract with EDB

(Oslo, 15 November 2004) Onninen Oy has signed an IT operations and service agreement with EDB Business Partner for its new ERP system. The contract with Onninen, which is one of the largest technical wholesale suppliers in Europe, represents new business for EDB with a total value of around NOK 70 million over its five-year term.

The new ERP system will support Onninen's logistics and order management systems for the group's distribution network, and will be introduced successively across the company's branch offices in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Russia and the Baltic states.

EDB announced in July that it was engaged in exclusive contract negotiations with Onninen, and these negotiations have now reached a conclusion. The contract agreed is more extensive than originally envisaged, and the business volume it represents is some NOK 15 million higher than was previously announced.
