EDB gains new public sector contract in Sweden

(Oslo, 13 December 2004) Swedish Verket för högskoleservice has chosen EDB as their partner to operate their entrance requirement system for Universities. The agreement has an estimated value of approximately NOK 11 million.

Verket för högskoleservice (VHS) is a governmental operated authority offering support and service to Swedish Universities. VHS accomplishes a coordinated entrance requirement process for educational programs offered by Swedish universities, and has chosen EDB as operating IT-partner for the system.
 
EDB had the economically most attractive offer, VHS says in its reason for the decision to choose EDB. In accordance with the rules for public sector purchasing in Sweden, the other bidders for this contract have ten days in which to appeal against the decision.
