Møbelringen chooses EDB to operate its ERP system

(Oslo, 27 January 2005) Møbelringen has entered into an agreement with EDB for the centralised operation of its ERP system Movex. EDB also takes over responsibility for the supply of related communications infrastructure and operations services for user equipment in the chain of around 80 stores. The agreement represents business volume of NOK 23 million over a 5-year period.

By introducing this new ERP system, Møbelringen will migrate from operating separate servers in each store to a centralised operating environment. Møbelringen will also introduce a standardised infrastructure for its stores in respect of communication lines, security and internet access. EDB will provide a comprehensive solution for Møbelringen, and will be responsible for the stability of the entire value chain.
