| EDB Business Partner - Restructuring measures proceed as planned |
|
(Oslo, 1 April 2005) EDB Business Partner is now carrying out the restructuring measures announced as a result of the acquisition of business activities from Telenor and the need to improve efficiency for new customer contracts. EDB will notify 34 employees of redundancy on Monday. 56 employees have already left the group or are solved in another way. The total reduction in headcount will be approximately 90 full-time equivalent positions. EDB has already announced the need for restructuring as a result of the integration of the operating services division from Telenor, as well as to meet the demands for greater efficiency imposed by customer contracts and the loss of some customers. In addition to the reduction in headcount, the measures implemented include making more efficient use of office space and more cost-effective purchasing, including hardware and software. The changes relate to the activities of the IT Operations business area. The costs involved will not exceed the amounts previously announced, which have already been provided for in the company's accounts.
