Trondheim municipality chooses EDB Business Partner

(Oslo, 27 June, 2005) Trondheim municipality has appointed EDB Business Partner ASA as supplier of IT-services. The agreement runs for three years from 1 January 2006, with an option to extend for a further two years. The contract is expected to represent a total business volume over the initial three-year period of approximately NOK 225 million.
 
EDB will be responsible for the Trondheim municipality's central and distributed IT and telephony systems. The agreement also includes specific development projects to modernise the municipality's administration.
 
Ementor Norge AS will act as a sub-contractor to EDB for service desk functions, and may also be used as a subcontractor for certain services, development projects and hardware supplies. Telenor will be EDB's sub-contractor for telephony services.
 
EDB took over its customer relationship with the Trondheim municipality through its acquisition of Telenor's operating services division in 2004. The current agreement runs till 31 December 2005, and the new agreement is won after a public tender.
 
The final agreement will be signed on 6 July, after the statutory notice period for public sector purchasing decisions has expired.
