EDB signs new agreement with Banverket in Sweden

(Oslo 30 June 2005) Banverket in Sweden extends is agreement with Capgemini and EDB from 1 July until the end of 2007. The agreement represents a business volume for EDB of NOK 12 million.

EDB is to provide mainframe and Windows operating services for the Capgemini IT solution used by Banverket. The applications are used by Banverket Trafik to maintain the safety and reliability of the Swedish train network and to continuously provide passengers with up-to-date train times.

Banverket Trafik, a company in the Banverket organisation, is responsible for traffic management throughout the Swedish rail network
