EDB Business Partner Sverige AB has won a renewed contract with the Swedish Municipal Workers' Union unemployment benefit society. The renewed contract runs from 1 April 2006 to 31 December 2009. The assignment includes IT operations, scanning, statement printing, envelope stuffing and help desk functions, as well as technical and application support for Municipal's unemployment benefit society, which is the largest of the trade union benefit societies in Sweden in terms of membership numbers. The total contract value is estimated to be a SEK 50 million over a 3-year period.

 

EDB acquired the company Datarutin in January 2006 and this contract was won by the Datarutin operation, which is now part of EDB. The Municipal Workers' Union has been a customer of Datarutin since 1963, and with the renewed confidence demonstrated by the new contract, this customer relationship now spans an unbroken period of 46 years.
