euroConex enters into agreement with EDB

(Oslo, 18 January 2007) euroConex Technologies Nordic AS has entered into an agreement with EDB for transaction processing. The agreement takes the form of a framework contract for three years, and represents total contract value of around NOK 22 million.

The contract relates to financial transactions services based on processing and allocating transactions from payment terminals. It also includes distributing electronic and paper-based settlement confirmations to euroConex's customers.
 
euroConex, a wholly-owned subsidiary of USBank,  specialises in processing card payment transactions. euroConex is a rapidly growing company, and is currently the fourth largest player in its sector in Europe.  The company's activities include authorisation, transaction capture and settlement for most international cards, and in the Norwegian market it offers agreements for MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club, Maestro, Visa Electron, JCB and Cirrus. euroConnex Nordic was established in 2004 through the acquisition of Europay Norway's payment processing activities
