Handelsbanken renews its contract with EDB |
(Oslo, 4 June 2007) Handelsbanken Norway and EDB have entered into an agreement for the supply of banking solutions and IT operations for Handelsbanken's activities in Norway. The agreement represents a renewal of Handelsbanken's existing contract with EDB, and runs for a further 5 years with a total contract value of around NOK 300 million. The agreement with EDB covers the major part of Handelsbanken Norway's IT requirements.

More on the delivery
EDB will continue its deliveries to Handelsbanken in all the areas of the current agreement. This includes solutions for core bank, card services, branch office, currency payments, internet banking for the retail and corporate markets, credit evaluation, management/analysis and money laundering avoidance. EDB will also continue to be responsible for IT operating services for these solutions.
More on the contract
The new agreement between Handelsbanken and EDB runs for five years and represents total contract value for EDB in the order of NOK 300 million over its life. The agreement covers all the products and services supplied under the previous agreement, which ran to 31 May 2007. The new agreement runs to 1 June 2012.
