EDB expands its collaboration with Preem

(Oslo, 14 May 2008) EDB has entered into a five-year server operations agreement with the oil company Preem. This new assignment involves transferring server operations to EDB's premises, but with Preem employees carrying out the major part of the operational tasks. At the same time, Preem has extended its contract with EDB for mainframe operations for a further two years.

"This agreement makes it possible for us to develop our system platforms in pace with changing needs. We chose to expand our collaboration with EDB because the company delivers the flexible and cost efficient operating services that we need, both now and in the future", comments Håkan Jönson, CIO of Preem Petroleum AB.

"We are delighted that Preem, one of EDB's longest-standing customers in Sweden, has decided to expand our collaboration into a completely new area while at the same time extending the existing agreement for mainframe operations", comments Thomas Parmbäck, Managing Director for EDB in Sweden.
