| EDB to develop Nordic citizens' portal |

(Oslo, 15 May 2008) EDB has won an assignment to develop a Nordic citizens' portal that will make it easier for Nordic citizens to relocate between the Nordic countries. The scheme is initiated by the Nordic Council of Ministers. The assignment has been awarded by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan). It is envisaged that what will be known as the Nordic Social Insurance Portal will be ready as early as summer 2008. The portal will make it easier for citizens of the Nordic countries to move between the Nordic countries and work or study in a different Nordic country. The scheme was initiated by the Nordic Council of Ministers, and involves eight public bodies in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

The Nordic Social Insurance Portal will allow citizens to find their way to the right public sector body in the country in question quickly and easily, and will simplify their preparations for personal contact with the relevant bodies. The portal will provide extensive information in an accessible manner, offering all the Nordic languages as well as English. The portal will provide guidance on which country's laws and regulations will apply to any particular situation, explain the individual citizen's rights in the new country of residence and provide information on which rights the individual will retain or lose by moving from one country to another.
EDB will start work on the portal immediately, and the service will be launched in summer 2008. Once the portal is in operation, EDB will have ongoing responsibility for its operation and management.
