| Green Cargo expands its collaboration with EDB |
|
(Oslo, 29 April 2009) The Swedish logistics company Green Cargo AB has signed a new and expanded agreement with EDB Business Partner that covers IT operating services, applications management and consulting services. The agreement represents total contract value of SEK 300 million over 5 years. This contract gives EDB an important role in helping Green Cargo to improve its operational efficiency, and renewal of the company's SAP systems will play a central role in this respect.
The new agreement replaces an earlier contract by which EDB provided applications operations, mainframe and I-series operations, communications and network services as a subcontractor. The new agreement consolidates and virtualises these areas in line with sustainable environmental principles.
In addition to the renewed contract for IT operations, EDB will now also take on unified responsibility for managing Green Cargo's applications portfolio, together with providing consulting services for systems development.
"This agreement with Green Cargo is strategically important for EDB's activities in Sweden, and we look forward to our renewed and expanded collaboration with Green Cargo over the years ahead", comments Endre Rangnes, CEO of EDB.
