EDB chosen as outsourcing supplier - SEK 100 million

(Oslo, 18 May 2009) EDB Business Partner has been awarded a contract by the Swedish Board for Study Support (CSN, Centrala Studiestödsnämnden) for the administration and operation of IT services. This contract is a result of EDB's focus on the public sector in Sweden. The agreement represents total contract value of SEK 100 and runs for 4 years from 1 March 2010, with the possibility to extend for 3 years.

The assignment includes delivery of services in the following areas:
  • Central computer operations
    Development and maintenance of the operations of CSN's mainframe environment.
  • Server operations
    Development and maintenance of the operations of CSN's local server environment, including data hotel, technical operations, database operations and applications operations.
  • Service desk
    Services for the operation of CSN's Service desk, which users can contact by telephone or electronically (portal/e-mail), and administration services for routine enquiries.
  • Internal services
    A range of services including firewall solutions, Internet access solutions, URL filtering and VPN.
  • Workplace operation and administration
    Services for CSN's major client functions, with responsibility for operating directory services, various mail servers, printing, antivirus protection and mobile workplaces.
 
The contract will be signed following the expiry of the formal period for objections.
