(Oslo, 5 December 2012) The Norwegian Agricultural Authority (SLF) has entered into an agreement with EDB ErgoGroup for applications operating services. The agreement provides for SLF to concentrate all its applications operations to EDB ErgoGroup. The agreement runs for three years with an option to extend for a further three years, and represents total contract value over the entire period of NOK 20 million. "We carried out a very comprehensive process of tenders and negotiations, and our aim was to choose a new IT supplier that would underpin SLF's future IT strategy. A key objective for our strategy is to bring together all the operating services we use with a single strong supplier instead of using several different suppliers. We feel confident that EDB ErgoGroup, with its expertise and delivery capacity, will be the right supplier for us in the years ahead. Through the tendering process, EDB ErgoGroup clearly demonstrated that it is the innovative and forward-looking partner that we were looking for", comments Alf Selnesaunet, Head of IT at SLF. "The Norwegian Agricultural Authority (SLF) is an exciting new customer for EDB ErgoGroup. We look forward to starting work on modernising SLF's IT applications platform, and we will do our utmost to help SLF achieve its strategic objectives for IT in the years to come", comments Thorolf Thorstensen, Head of Global IT Operations at EDB ErgoGroup. About SLF and the contract SLF has previously used several suppliers for applications operating services and has also carried out some operations in-house, but the new agreement provides for EDB ErgoGroup to take on responsibility for all applications operations. The agreement also provides for an upgrade of SLF's Oracle platform. EDB ErgoGroup already provides services for some elements of SLF's applications portfolio. Work on bringing together operating services for all the applications will take until September 2012. The first phase of work will involve EDB ErgoGroup modernising SLF's current platform, and the second phase will be the migration and integration of all applications to this platform.
