The new name of the company is Wuhan University of Technology - Skaugen Training and Consulting Company Limited (WUT-STC) website: www.wut-stc.com, incorporated in Wuhan, Hubei Province and is the first such company in China.
WUT-STC engages in the training of seafarers in the handling and transportation of dangerous cargoes including liquid petroleum gases, chemicals and oil products, as well as vessel maintenance. Equipped with advanced training equipment and first class teaching staff, the training center is fast becoming a premier training center within China in the field of handling and transportation of dangerous cargoes at sea.
WUT-STC has been accredited by the Maritime Safety Authorities of China as one of the designated training institutes in China. More than 6,000 Chinese seafarers have graduated from the training center since its inception. So far this year the training center has more than 1,200 students.
