METRO ACQUIRES OUTSTANDING SHARES IN METRO HOLLANDMetro International S.A. ("Metro"), the international newspaper group, today announced that it has acquired from existing minority shareholders the 9.99 per cent of capital of Metro Holland, which it did not already own. Metro Holland was launched in 1999 and currently publishes 3 editions with a daily circulation of c. 500,000 and a weekday readership of almost 1.5 million.
