North Energy ASA - Spudding on PL 616 Haribo

Exploration drilling began today on the Haribo prospect in production licence 616 in the Norwegian North Sea.

 

This prospect is located at the southernmost end of the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS), about eight kilometres south of the Valhall field.

Well 2/11-11 will be drilled from the Transocean Searcher rig to the Hidra formation at a depth of 3 350 metres. This operation is expected to take about 45 days, and aims to prove hydrocarbons in Upper Cretaceous chalk similar to the Valhall/Hod reservoirs.

Partners in the licence are Edison Norge (operator) with 25 per cent, Noreco Norway 20 per cent, Concedo 20 per cent, Lime Petroleum Norway 15 per cent, Skagen44 five per cent and North Energy 15 per cent.
