North Energy ASA - Dry exploration well on the Zumba prospect in PL 591

Tullow Oil Norge AS, operator of the production licence 591 is currently completing drilling of the exploration well 6507/11-11. The well is located in the Norwegian Sea, approximately 14 km southeast of the Heidrun Field.

The primary objective of the well was to detect hydrocarbons in the Upper Jurassic sandstones.
The well proved lack of reservoir development and no hydrocarbons were encountered.

The well was drilled to a depth of 2900 meters below sea level and terminated in the Fangst Group.

Partners in the licence are Tullow Oil Norge AS (operator with 60 per cent), Lime Petroleum Norway AS (25 per cent), and North Energy ASA (15 per cent).
