Sale of shares in Merkantildata

Orkla ASA has today sold 12.2 million shares in Merkantildata at NOK 57 per share. Orkla has at the same time entered long-term derivatives contracts for 12 million shares, based on its faith in the Merkantildata-share as an investment object. The transaction is part of the Investment Area’s focus on capital employed and return on equity. The transaction will generate a loss of approximately NOK mill 375, but release more than NOK mill 500 in cash.
