Quarterly figures for 2000 and 1999

March 26: Orkla will from 2001 use three-month periods in its financial reports, as opposed to four-month periods earlier. Consequently, the accounts for 2000 and 1999 have been changed to three-month periods. These figures are now accessible at Orkla's Internet pages at www.orkla.com (under IR - Reports), as well as on the Internet pages of The Oslo Stock Exchange (www.ose.no).

The figures for Orkla Beverages are based on Pripps Ringnes and not Carlsberg Breweries. Three-month figures for Carlsberg Breweries for 2000 will at the latest be available when Q1 is reported.

Orkla's financial calendar for 2001 is as follows:
3 May: Annual General Meeting
4 May: Shares quoted excluding dividend
10 May: Publication Q1
22 May: Payment of dividend
9 August: Publication Q2
1 November: Publication Q3
