COOPERATION AGREEMENT BIOFUEL POWERED OPRA GAS TURBINE

The Municipality of Hengelo (NL), OPRA and BTG-BTL recently signed a cooperation agreement to build a combined heat and power plant running on biofuel.

 

The parties have agreed to install an OPRA OP16 gas turbine running on pyrolysis oil produced by BTG-BTL in order to provide heat and electricity to the newly developed district heating system of Hengelo.

 

The OP16 gas turbine was selected for its high efficiency, low emissions and capability to operate on pyrolysis oil.
