KPN to reappoint Joost Farwerck as COO19.01.2017 08:02:59 CET
The Supervisory Board of Royal KPN N.V. announces its intention to reappoint Joost Farwerck to KPN's Board of Management as the company's Chief Operations Officer (COO), for a second four-year term. The Supervisory Board will inform shareholders of the intended reappointment during the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, which will take place on 12 April 2017, following which the final reappointment decision will be taken.
In his COO role Mr Farwerck (51) has been responsible for implementing KPN's operational and network strategy, and has achieved major operational excellence and Simplification improvements. Based on these achievements, and looking ahead at the execution of KPN's strategy, the Supervisory Board believes a continuation of his appointment is in the best interest of the company and its stakeholders.
Mr Farwerck joined KPN in 1994 and held senior management positions across a number of segments in The Netherlands, prior to joining the Board of Management in 2013.
KPN's Central Works Council has made a positive recommendation on the intended reappointment of Mr Farwerck.
