S-E-Banken world`s leading Nordic currency dealer

Once again, S-E-Banken has been ranked number one in the world as regards Nordic currency trading. In addition, the Bank has been ranked number five on the list of the technically most advanced foreign exchange banks and number eleven in terms of quality and service in the field of foreign exchange in general.

It is the publication Euromoney that gives these scores in a broadly-based study by presenting a series of lists of the top overall banks in terms of various currencies, financial instruments, different marketplaces, etc. According to this study, which is
based upon polls among 267 internationally active companies, financial institutions and institutional investors, today, S-E-Banken is the fifteenth largest foreign exchange trader in the world.

In Nordic currency trading S-E-Banken has a total score of 124 points, compared to 65 for the number two bank, Handelsbanken, and 51 for the number three, Den Danske Bank. Large, international banks like HSBC, Chase Manhattan and Citibank each have scores of between 40 and 45 points. The gap to the competition is even greater when it comes to SEK/DM-trading, where S-E-Banken has 108 points, against 46 for Citibank and Handelsbanken, which share the number two-position.

In terms of automated trading technology S-E-Banken is ranked number five, after Citibank, Chase Manhattan, Bank of America and Deutsche Bank. This is probably explained to a large extent by last year`s introduction of currency trading via Internet, which S-E-Banken was the first bank in the world to offer. Another factor which has played an important role in the evaluation process, has been the Bank`s partnership in Electronic Broking Services, which over a short period of time has captured a very large share of global electronic currency trading.

All in all, S-E-Banken gets very high scores as a foreign exchange bank from those companies and institutions which took part in the study. On the list `Top 30 by quality of service`, S-E-Banken is ranked number eleven, after banks like Citibank, Deutsche Bank, Chase Manhattan and HSBC.
