Contract Stork Aerospace with Goodrich for landing gear
Stork SP Aerospace, part of Stork Aerospace, has signed a contract with Goodrich Corporation's Landing Gear division (Cleveland, Ohio, USA) for the manufacturing of Bombardier's DHC-8 Series 400 landing gear. This contract is scheduled to start activities at Stork SP Aerospace in January 2007, with hardware deliveries scheduled through 2011.
In July 2006, Goodrich and Stork SP Aerospace signed an agreement covering the application of load carrying composites in landing gear. Through this agreement a close cooperation between the two companies has emerged.
President of Stork SP Aerospace, Mr. René Claessen stated: "We are very excited about this contract with Goodrich Landing Gear and are proud that our successful co-operation in current programs was recognized in Goodrich's decision to further expand our working relationship. The extension of this relationship recognizes the dedication and commitment of the entire team of Goodrich and Stork employees."
Goodrich will continue to be responsible for overall system integration and product engineering as well as the interface with Bombardier and the DASH 8-400 operators through its global customer and product support network.
