Sale of Stork Food Systems completed



Today, 8 May, the sale of Stork Food Systems to Marel Food Systems has been completed. The purchase price is € 415 mln on a cash and debt free basis. Stork Food Systems develops, produces and maintains industrial systems and production lines for the processing of poultry, (red) meat and (liquid) food products. At the end of 2007, Stork Food Systems counted 1,789 employees and had a net turnover of € 369 million.
 
The acquisition was announced on 28 November 2007. With the consent of the competition authorities on 21 April 2008, the last hurdle in the effective takeover of Stork Food Systems by Marel had been taken.
