The Scottish Salmon Company, Acquisition of West Minch Salmon Limited

 

The Scottish Salmon Company hereby announces the acquisition of shares in West Minch Salmon Limited, a leading independent salmon farming company based in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland.

 

Under the deal, eleven sites in South Harris, North Uist and Benbecula will be transferred to The Scottish Salmon Company.

 

West Minch Salmon will continue trading in its current form and the deal will be phased to allow a smooth transition of activities and assets.

 

The deal marks a significant step forward for The Scottish Salmon Company which has undergone a major restructuring over the past 18 months. The expanded operation underpins the Company's plans to create a stable and sustainable year-on-year business in the rural communities of the Hebrides and develop the Hebridean Brand.
