SCOTTISH SEAFOOD INVESTMENTS LIMITED, A JOINT VENTURE OWNED 33% BY THE SCOTTISH SALMON COMPANY, CONCLUDES ITS INITIAL INVESTMENT INTO ASSOCIATED SEAFOOD LIMITED

The Scottish Salmon Company PLC ("SSC") is pleased to announce that Scottish Seafood Investments Ltd. ("SSI"), a joint venture owned 33% by SSC has completed its initial investment into Associated Seafoods Ltd ("ASL").  ASL is a Scotland-based holding company set up by an experienced management team, with an objective to invest into value-added processing of seafood. ASL will concentrate on value-added processing of salmon (smoking, ready-to-cook, ready-to-eat, etc.) and adding other species to complement its value-added offering.

 ASL has in turn completed its first acquisition, with funding for the acquisition coming from SSI and other ASL investors.  ASL has acquired 100% of the ordinary equity of Lossie Seafoods Ltd ("LSL"), a Scottish premium salmon smoker.
