The Scottish Salmon Company PLC Announces Investment into Loch Fyne Oysters

The Scottish Salmon Company PLC ("SSC") is pleased to announce that Scottish Seafood Investments Ltd. ("SSI"), a joint venture between SSC and SSC's majority shareholder Northern Link Ltd, has completed an investment into Loch Fyne Oysters Ltd ("LFO").

SSI's investment will stimulate further growth of LFO and its brand both within the UK and internationally.  LFO farms oysters, mussels and operates a smoker from its site at Cairndow at the head of Loch Fyne.  SSC is the sole salmon producer at Loch Fyne on the west coast of Argyll and Bute, Scotland.

The transaction recognises the growth potential of LFO and the investment will ensure that the company can capitalise on its iconic Scottish brand and penetrate new export markets with further opportunities to supply and develop branded salmon products in conjunction with SSC in the future. SSC's partnership with LFO is in line with SSC's strategy of expanding its offering of premium Scottish salmon within the UK and abroad.
