TOUAX joins the Gaia Index, the SRI index for mid caps
Touax joined the Gaia Index at the start of October. The Gaia Index is the socially responsible investing (SRI) index for mid caps set up by IDMidCaps, EthiFinance, the French Society of Financial Analysts (SFAF) and MiddleNext.
The Gaia Index is a portfolio of 70 French securities that have achieved the best non-financial ratings out of a panel of over 220 mid caps, representing revenues of €140 billion and almost a million jobs.
The securities are rated based on a frame of reference comprising 109 non-financial criteria, of which 26 concern the environment, 25 concern social issues and 46 concern governance. The index is calculated each month and weighted according to market capitalization. The selection is reviewed annually.
Based on its 2012 results, the Touax Group is ranked 30th out of 111 companies in the Industry sector, 19th out of 131 companies in Compartment C & Alternext, and 13th out of 74 companies in the segment for companies with revenue of €150-500 million.
