Thin Film Electronics ASA ("Thinfilm") today announced changes to its management team.
Tauseef Bashir has been named EVP Global Sales effective July 25 and will report directly to CEO, Davor Sutija. Mr. Bashir joins Thinfilm from Amazon.com, where he served as Chief Sales Officer. Prior to Amazon.com, he held executive and senior sales positions with a number of leading firms, including FAST (Microsoft), Autonomy, Inc. (HP), and Ramp, Inc. (Cxense). Mr. Bashir will be based out of Thinfilm's Silicon Valley office in San Jose, California.
Effective immediately, Erwan Le Roy is promoted to the role of EVP Business Development & General Manager, NFC Solutions and Smart Sensor Products. Mr. Le Roy previously served as the Company's SVP Strategic Marketing and GM Sensor Platforms.
Kai Leppänen, Thinfilm's Chief Commercial Officer, is leaving the Company to pursue other interests. Mr. Leppänen was instrumental in growing Thinfilm into a printed electronics product company by securing significant commercial partnerships. "We thank Kai for his commitment to the company over the past three years, and wish him continued success in his future endeavours," said Dr. Sutija.
