Fire at Yara Porsgrunn under controlOslo (2008-12-03): Following an earlier explosion, the resulting fire in NPK plant 3 at Yara's Porsgrunn site is under control. Four people were injured, of which two are in hospital. Everyone who signed in to the factory premises during today have been accounted for. There are no missing persons. The area has been evacuated in accordance with normal safety procedure, and all relevant authorities have been notified.
The cause of the explosion is not known at this time. An inquiry will be initiated to establish the cause.
