Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, March 31, 2017 - Bureau Veritas (the "Company") hereby inform its shareholders that its combined general meeting (ordinary and extraordinary) (the "Meeting") will be held on Tuesday May 16, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Pavillon Gabriel, 5 avenue Gabriel, 75008 Paris.
The preliminary notice of meeting (Avis de réunion), including in particular the agenda of the Meeting and the draft resolutions proposed by the Board of Directors and which will be submitted to the Meeting, has been published today in the legal gazette "Bulletin des Annonces Légales et Obligatoires" n°39 (http://www.journal-officiel.gouv.fr/balo/) and on the Company's website (www.bureauveritas.com).
The documents and information referred to in Article R.225-73-1 of the French Commercial Code will be available on the Company's website (www.bureauveritas.com) under Shareholders / Shareholders Meeting, at the latest on the twenty-first day before the Meeting (i.e. at the latest on Tuesday April 25, 2017).
All other preparatory documents pertaining to the Meeting will be available to the shareholders at the Company's registered office and/or on the Company's website (www.bureauveritas.com), under Shareholders / Shareholders Meeting, in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory provisions, at the latest as from the publication of the notice of meeting (Avis de convocation) in the legal gazette "Bulletin des Annonces Légales et Obligatoires".
Shareholders may also request, as from the publication of the notice of meeting (Avis de convocation) in the legal gazette "Bulletin des Annonces Légales et Obligatoires" until the fifth day (included) prior to the Meeting, i.e. until Thursday May 11, 2017 (included), that the documents and information referred to in Articles R.225-81 and R.225-83 of the French Commercial Code be sent to them in accordance with the following:
Please note that the Company 2016 Registration Document (Document de référence) filed on March 24, 2017 with the Autorité des marchés financiers is available on the Company's website (www.bureauveritas.com) and on the website of the Autorité des marchés financiers (www.amf-france.org). The Company 2016 Registration Document includes in particular the annual financial report, the report of the Chairman of the Board of Directors with special reporting on the Board's work and the internal control and risk management procedures implemented by the Company, as well as the statutory auditors' reports and fees for the financial year ending December 31, 2016.
