Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, January 31, 2019 - Bureau Veritas announces the appointment, effective February 1, 2019, of Eduardo Camargo as Executive Vice-President, Group Transformation & Business Development. Eduardo Camargo, who has been a member of the Executive Committee for 13 years, will be based at the Group's headquarters in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, reporting to Didier Michaud-Daniel, Chief Executive Officer.

This appointment also allows us to strengthen the governance of Bureau Veritas, with even more international leadership, aligned with the exceptional global presence of Bureau Veritas", stated Didier Michaud-Daniel, Chief Executive Officer of Bureau Veritas.
In addition, Eduardo Camargo will retain his responsibility as head of the Commodities, Industry & Facilities (CIF) division in Latin America, which will be managed locally by a dedicated leader for this region.
Eduardo Camargo - Biography:
Prior to his appointment as Executive Vice-President Bureau Veritas Group Transformation & Business Development, in 2019, Eduardo Camargo has led the CIF business in Latin America, as Executive Vice-President and a member of the Executive Committee since 2006.
With a career developed in Bureau Veritas over 30 years, Eduardo Camargo has experience in both the marine and industry sectors. Joining Bureau Veritas in 1986 in the Marine Design Review Division, Eduardo Camargo has then held various management roles. In 1997, he became Regional Chief Executive for Mexico & Central America Region, with responsibilities expanding successively to South Latin America in 2002 and Latin America Zone in 2003. In 2006, he joined the Group Executive Committee of Bureau Veritas.
Eduardo holds a Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering degree from Rio de Janeiro University and an MBA in Finance from Rio de Janeiro Pontifical Catholic University. Eduardo Camargo is of Brazilian nationality.
